Day Nine

M&S realised that they had sent over the wrong info for the Cheese Award banners so I had to re-do them. They wanted the ‘Your M&S’ logo as opposed to the Marks & Spencer stacked logo and a black background instead of their special ‘heroic green’. So I quickly made the changes as the banners were massive and had to be sent out to print pretty soon.

After that I was given a brief for Yorkshire Water. They needed some envelopes designed for their business award ceremony. They wanted them to look similar to the nominee videos that Simon had designed and for the colour scheme to be ‘cool blues’. So I created a starry look in Photoshop for the outside of the envelopes and kept the inside plain. They wanted their logo to feature on the cards and this was fine for the inside as it had a white background but on the blue of the outside it looked really pixelated and had a horrible background to it. So instead I used an element of their logo – a star – enlarged it, and put it on the corner of the card. I then wrote the text part out once I had figured out that the font they used was Frutiger.

At the end of the day I worked on some of the Proof project trying to come up with some more logos and themes for the website.
